Alabama coreholes drilled by ARCO include:
- St. Stephens Quarry - 820 ft (250 m); classic Eocene-Oligocene middle-outer shelf section with magneto-, bio-, and isotopic control. The corehole was drilled on top of outcrop, yet does not suffer from preservational and diagenetic problems . [Miller et al., 1993, Paleoceanography, v. 8, p. 313-331]
- Bay Minette - 1099 ft (335 m); downdip Eocene-Oligocene outer shelf section with magneto-, bio-, and isotopic control. [Baum et al., 1994, GSA Bul., v. 106, p. 824-939]
- Antioch Church - 280 ft (85 m); spanning the K/T boundary and extending into the Paleocene. [Schulte et al., 2006, Sed. Geo., v. 184, 77-109.]
