Within academia, the microprobe is widely used for petrological and mineralogical research. Our instrument is regularly used for high precision olivine analysis, meteoritic studies and tephra analysis. In addition to rocks and minerals, we can perform analyses of metals and alloys, thin films, ceramics and composites, glass, optical fibers, teeth and bones, and many other natural and artificial materials.
