Members of the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences were just accepted into the inaugral "Wading In: SAS Summer Research Mentoring Program," an initiative developed this year by SAS to advance new mentor/mentee relationships between SAS faculty and undergraduate students to work on a project this summer. Crystal Pletka and Lauren Adamo will serve as faculty mentors to Cole Shih Blitstein as he works to prepare and curate his expansive personal collection of New Jersey beach fossils for display at Rutgers and for future publication. He will also review the current holdings in the Rutger's Geology Museum collections and learn how such collections can be curated and developed for dissemination for the public.
