Zakiya Chikwendu has been awarded the National Association of Geoscience Teachers Outstanding TA Award for her contribution to enhancing the quality of teaching our undergraduate students in EPS. The award celebrates her intellectual integrity, professionalism and her unique assertive and creative ways to both discipline and motivate students in studying and participating in discussion to encourage critical thinking.. The Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award recognizes undergraduate and graduate students for their work as teaching assistants. The award is given twice a year, and Zakiya was among 16 TAs from all over the country to receive it this summer!
