benblackkavli.jpegEPS Assistant Professor Ben Black has been selected as a 2024 Kavli Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences. Kavli Fellows are chosen from “among the nation's brightest young scientists from industry, academia, and government” to participate in discussions of new ideas and advances spanning a broad range of disciplines.  Dr. Black’s research focuses on magmas and how the gases they release have shaped Earth’s climate history. He is a 2023 Sloan Research Fellow and recipient of a CAREER award from the National Science Foundation.
