We are very proud to announce that NASA has selected EPS Associate Professor, Dr. Julianne Gross, to be one of the co-investigators on the Artemis III Geology Team. NASA's Artemis III Mission will land astronauts to the lunar South Pole to collect lunar samples, advancing the scientific discovery of lunar exploration.
As mentioned in NASA's press release, the Artemis III Geology Team is responsible for developing plans for astronauts' activities during their moonwalk, which include field geology traverses, observations, and the collection of lunar samples, imagery, and scientific measurements.
