DSC 0327Congratulations to Assistant Teaching Professor, Dr. Bari Hanafi, who was just selected to join the 2022 cohort of professors in the Teaching Fellows Program run by the Provost's Office at Rutgers University. This program aims to improve student learning outcomes by empowering faculty to advance undergraduate education through pedagogical innovation and course redesign. The program includes full cohort sessions to share goals as well as group consultations focusing on strategies to enhance learning in undergraduate courses. Bari plans to use this opportunity to adopt flipped classroom instruction and active-learning teaching methods in several 100 and 200 level undergraduate courses.  "I plan to use a combination of interactive quizzes and videos, class demonstrations and activities, and hands-on exercises to increase students’ understanding of various interconnected geological processes and to improve collaborative cooperation among the students and myself as an instructor" stated Bari.

Great job Bari!
