image002Drs. Wright and Mortlock were awarded $488,000 from the National Science Foundation (Facilities and Equipment) for the acquisition of an Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer with peripherals for measuring C and O isotopes in carbonates and O and H isotopes in water samples. The new instrument will be installed this spring and located in WL 233. The EPS Stable Isotope Lab supports a wide range of NSF-funded projects, most of which address questions of paleo-climate reconstruction and serves as a regional facility to support scientists at other institutions.
