Dr. Marie-Pierre Aubry has been awarded $2,000 from the Rutgers University School of Arts and Sciences Research Council Fund to help with the publication of her book on Coccolithophores. Published by SEPM, this book examines the biology, taxonomy, and stratigraphy of the Cenozoic Coccolithophore; Discoasterales. The research explores the various forcing mechanism(s) that influence the shape of their skeletons, as well as investigates the diversification within the various evolutionary clades.
