Awards, Honors, and Kudos

Congratulations to Alex Nikulin who has been offered the Macaulay Honors College Visiting Assistant Professorship for 2011-2012 at Queens College, School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, NY.

Congratulations to EPS undergraduate student R.D. (RoniDell Baluyot) who has received an award from the Aresty Research Center for $600. RD is working on an honors thesis, "Paleoenvironmental reconstruction of a Pleistocene landscape, Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania".

Research led by EPS graduate student Morgan Schaller in collaboration with EPS faculty Jim Wright and Dennis Kent look at perturbations in atmospheric CO2 as a result of large volcanic eruptions.
