Laboratory Policies:
Attendance: All laboratory
sessions must be attended on time.
Absence in lab will only be excused with written documentation from a
doctor. If you miss a lab and do not provide documentation, you will receive
a zero for the lab session and that weekÕs quiz. You will have one week
to turn in assignments that are late because of illness. If you know that you
will have to miss a lab, please contact me in advance and as soon as possible.
Readings
and homework: Lab manual readings are mandatory. Reading prior to class will
improve your understanding of the lab and will increase your efficiency during
class.
Quizzes and
Tests: We will have closed book/notes quizzes at the beginning of most
lab sessions. No make up quizzes or exams will be given with out proof of
illness.
Grading: Your final grade will be
determined as follows:
11 Labs: 55%
8 Quizzes: 15%
Mid-Term: 10%
Final Paper: 10%
Oral Presentation: 10%
